So I finally made it back here after an abandoned attempt earlier in the week due to an accident which resulted in a road closure. The temperature soon dropped as sunset neared so I was pleased I had packed the jacket. It was also the first outing and use of a walking pole which I can thoroughly recommend for scrambling up hills. I seemed to get up to the top much quicker than last time with half the effort! All good practice for Scotland in a week although I suspect the hills and mountains will be much harder work particularly as I always seem to choose the steepest bits!
