So I finally made it back here after an abandoned attempt earlier in the week due to an accident which resulted in a road closure. The temperature soon dropped as sunset neared so I was pleased I had packed the jacket. It was also the first outing and use of a walking pole which I can thoroughly recommend for scrambling up hills. I seemed to get up to the top much quicker than last time with half the effort! All good practice for Scotland in a week although I suspect the hills and mountains will be much harder work particularly as I always seem to choose the steepest bits!
So here is one of Dove Stone Reservoir in the Peak District. The image is made up of three images in total that have been stitched together. Unfortunately I arrived slightly too late in the afternoon and the light wasn’t what I had hoped for. However I do like this shot and find it quite tranquil, I think it’s the symmetry and the lone tree!
